Functional Capacity Evaluations

This test is a comprehensive objective evaluation of an individual's ability to do a specific job and aids in developing a safe return-to-work program.

Impairment Ratings

These ratings are completed according to AMA guidelines. Range-of-motion and strength assessments are taken, and these findings assist the physician with a final impairment determination.

Prevention Education

Our therapists work closely with employers and employees to minimize your company's potential risks by identifying potential solutions.

Pre-Employment/Post-Offer Screenings

A functional physical assessment of an employee's ability to perform a job can be made for new employees. The key elements of the screen are based on the essential functions of a worker's job or rotation of jobs and, therefore, are a true representation of the job requirements rather than a generalized strength testing, making it ADA compliant. A particular emphasis is placed on demonstrating the required tasks using safe body mechanics so the assessment/screen doubles as an educational tool. Other baseline information is also gathered including relevant range of motion, strength and sensation measurements.

We also can provide additional Drug screens in addition to the physical screen testing.

Work Hardening/Conditioning

Our services offer customized, advanced rehabilitation programs to prepare employees for an efficient return to work. Back and neck safety education, personalized exercise plans and more help our clients maintain their results long after their therapy has ended.

Job-Site Analysis

We provide a detailed description of job demands based on ergonomic principles in compliance with OSHA and NIOSH standards. We describe in detail the frequent and infrequent job tasks and the essential function in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our Job-Site Analysis also includes Ergonimc Evaluations to objectively and subjectively assess the fit between the person, their work and their work environment.

On-site Clinics

A therapist will be on-site on a regularly scheduled basis and will consult with those employees with musculoskeletal injuries. This convenient availability allows for early symptom identification and swift intervention, which is the key to resolving employee pain quickly and efficiently. Consultations are normally performed in 10-20 minutes with emphasis on determining the source of pain and providing the appropriate exercise or postural recommendations to resolve the problem. Therapists are also available to visit the employee's work area and make realistic ergonomic recommendations to reduce strain if the issue is work related. In cases where physician consultation or formal physical or occupational therapy is deemed necessary, we can help make the appropriate connections.
